I've mentioned before that I'm not typically a skirt person - I love the look, but when it comes down to it, I love the convenience and comfort of shorts more. Enter - the skort. It's one of those pieces that is a little different, but can be super cute if you find the right pair.
This gingham pair from Zara was love at first sight and I can see them becoming a staple in my summer wardrobe. I couldn't wait until then to break them out though, so I've been pairing them with tights to add a little warmth while the weather's still cooler.

Looking super gorgeous as always Lauren! Absolutely in love with these stunning gingham shorts, they really are the perfect staple. I keep meaning to buy a skort, but never seem to get around to it. I'm not overly keen on skater/short skirts in general and/or shorts on my frame, so I love that a skort is a really fab alternative! Such a stylish look and really crushing on your red lipstick, so pretty! <3
