My Style (and Travel) Diary - Gingham and Gray at Wineglass Bay

Hello!

I'm slowly working my way through my Tassie photos and today I'm sharing some pics we snapped while exploring the Freycinet area.

This particular day, we basically just hopped in the car and decided to drive, with the vague idea that we'd check out Winglass Bay. The scenery in Tasmania is just so beautiful, with the winding roads, gorgeous coastline and mountains in the background, that driving in itself is pretty fun. We stopped along the way at the Devil's Corner Cellar Door where we shared a seriously delicious wood-fired pizza, and Tom enjoyed a wine tasting (the pinot noir was his favourite). I definitely recommend stopping by this place if you're visiting Tassie, as it was such a lovely spot to stop for lunch, stretch our legs and enjoy the incredible view from the deck.

We then made our way to Freycinet National Park and went for a walk up to the Wineglass Bay Lookout. We didn't end up walking all the way down to the beach (it was a pretty long walk and we hadn't really prepared for any serious hiking that day), but the views from the lookout were pretty spectacular!
We also made a little wallaby friend in the car park!

After making our way down from the lookout we went in search of dinner, and came across a lovely little cafe in Bicheno called Three Spices. They had tables and chairs spread out around the garden with fairy lights, Christmas decorations and hammocks hanging from the trees and it had such a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere. The service and food (that was a mix of Mediterranean/middle eastern) was really good too!

Looking back at these photos actually makes me so happy right now, it was a really awesome day.
Take me back!

Lots of Love
